Interview with Daphne Glenn Robinson
When did you attend your first BWRC?
My first time was July 2006, and the experience was AWESOME!
What is your most memorable BWRC moment?
ReShonda Tate Billingsley and Vincent Alexandria’s workshops. They were informative, yet very entertaining.
Have you networked with anyone at the conference and has that contact continued?
Yes. I met Bridgette Collins at the opening reception during the meet and greet session. She has since become my “best author friend!” At the time, we were not published, but have since published our works and have attended two more literary events together.
Did you do any writing while attending the conference?
No, I was too busy trying to absorb everything I’d learned during the day.
Has the BWRC helped you to accomplish any writing goals?
It certainly has. I have self published two books since then. I have been on the road a lot this year promoting my Christian fiction novel, Brotherly Love and Betrayal. I also published a collection of humorous stories about motherhood, Momisms- Mama Never Told Me There Would Be Days Like This.
If you plan to attend the 2008 BWRC, what brings you back?
I’m looking forward to seeing familiar faces, networking, and participating in workshops and/or panels.
What would you say about BWRC to influence someone who’s thinking about attending?
As I tell my MySpace buddies who are aspiring authors, the BWRC is the place to go to jumpstart your writing career.
